It's been a wonderful day. The wind has been blowing a little, making the leaves twirl real fast as they head towards the ground. It looks like it's snowing leaves! I love it.
Danny's been busy working outside. He's got another boat to work on; one left yesterday. He's been working on getting the cracks around the metal above the garage door cleaned out so he can repair it. He also has been grilling some ribs for about half a day. They are smelling pretty good. I didn't have the AC on in my building so I could smell them through the screen door.
I haven't felt too good today; part of it is trying to forget the upcoming surgery. I keep telling myself that next week this time I'll feel way better, but I'm not really sure if that's true! It may take much longer to actually feel better. I've tried to vacume a little bit with that overgrown dustbuster with a handle. I did it until both my back and my arm were hurting. Then I rested in a chair with the heating pad and read my new book. It's been a long time since I read a story book. Anymore I'm into trying to learn to make webpages or create something. I figure I need something relaxing to heal my arm with.
We moved the grill back to the chimney and put the deck table over by my bedroom window again. Since I have a lot of trouble these days putting the umbrella up and down we figured we could leave it up better with the wind block from the wall. I love to sit on the deck. It's so peaceful.
Another reason we moved it is to provide more room to walk away from that open edge. I'd hate for Mom or BJ or Me to fall! So now we have a wide berth to navigate.
Lindsey just called. She's navigating up in Maryland with Megan and Lane. She said they were walking around the little town up there. Sounds perfect.
Claude and Betty are back in CO from their visit to Canada. They'll be down around Sept. 12th. Hope my moaning has calmed down before they arrive. It'll be good to see them.
I've been busy working on genealogy for BJ today. I've had a lot of progress, finding lots of new info. It's going to be a while before I can get back to it.
