Not Still Long Enough

I'm staying busy even though I don't have a job. This week has been diverse to say the least. It started with my birthday on Monday, which wasn't all that since the family had celebrated on Friday before. It was good though, can't complain... In fact when I think on it, it was pretty good. Mom and Dad had me over for lunch in the shop. Dad had marinated some loin and was going to grill it. The grill wouldn't light so he ended up on the stove. It was real good! There was a little piece of birthday cake left over and we divided that up among the 3 of us and they sang Happy Birthday to me. What's not to love?

Tuesday I went to Dr. Barr's and she told me I'd have surgery someday for sure, but to hang in there as long as possible. I have started working on her cookbook which is very interesting since there are tons of jewish recipes.

I went to Betty Jane's on Wednesday to deliver her genealogy books and fix her printer. I ended up there for 7 hours or so and now have a part time job cleaning and sorting through her "piles" of clothing and other items cluttering up the house. I do that while the computer works to defrag itself from benign neglect. Never could get the printer fixed. Brought it home today so Dan can look at it.

I went back to BJ's on Thursday for 5 more hours, taking large boxes in which to sort items. A donation truck is coming Friday and I'm thinking they'll get lots of goodies.

Friday morning, this morning, Mom and I went over to DePaul to take the monitor back to the doctor's office. She's seeing a pulmonary doc to finally find out what's going on. A CATSCAN showed that sometime in the past she had a mini stroke. She's good to go right now.

Now I have to go back to the shop to eat fried fish Daddy caught yesterday. All GOOD!
