It's been cold this week and it's been nice this week. I will be glad when it settles one way or the other. It's so hard to figure out what to wear.
My exercise is going well. I'm getting there when I can, so far at least two times a week. If I only go twice then I'll do some at home. My biggest problem at home is getting Danny to quit laying everything he has on top of the equipment.
I dropped off an application at the vet's office at Crossroads. Not too sure I even want it. They work 6 days a week. Not sure I can even do that, physically I mean. And Danny came home from his work saying the girl behind the counter quit. Again, I'm not sure my body will be working with me...I know I'd enjoy working there. I miss gardening so.
Speaking of gardening, I mentioned before that Danny put in beds around two sides of the greenhouse, which is now up close to the building behind our house. The beds are 3 feet wide and he's put wooden borders around them to keep everything tidy. If it just gets a little bit warmer I'm ready to start planting something. I've even thought about planting some lettuce inside the greenhouse. That would be perfect. I mean, the weeds are growing in there -- they look like they could be from the lettuce family. So why not?! Will let you know how it goes!
We still haven't been to church again since I left working at Cedar Road. We've talked about it. I'm starting to think I need to start my own church. Maybe the Church of the Greenhouse! I'll go out there and sing praises and worship, and maybe even listen to a sermon on the radio. I think it's the act of worship and the frame of heart that counts rather than location. And fellowship isn't fellowship if there's strife, right?
I think we're going to Pembroke today. We discovered one of Grammy's Recipe Box books was put together backwards and upside down. All they have to do is take off the binding and put it in correctly, about a 15 minute wait, they said. But we still have to get it to them. I'm thinking we might get to use that gift card to Erma & Max when we go.
We've sold almost all of the last shipment of those recipe books. When the last one sells it will total 70 books! Can you believe it?! I can't imagine what would happen if we advertised. Hum, maybe I should consider doing just that.
If you want one for yourself or your kids just let me know or go to CountryLane and click the Paypal button.
I'm still puttting a book together for Dr. Barr. Lots of wonderful Jewish recipes that I've never heard of, all from her mother and grandmother. Dr. Barr told me her great-grandmother was on the Titanic. I guess as a child. I'm going to see if I can find her online.
At BettyJane's we're still plowing through all the items that make up her life. Last week was a little tough; she had dental issues and was hurting a lot. So I worked on her computer more. I have hooked her up with Roboform which will help her remember all those passwords. I love mine and have used it several years now. I still keep a hardcopy list, but I don't have to use it to log on. Just press a button. (you can use it free for 10 or less passwords).
Well I gotta get busy. It looks to be warmer today and I don't want to be writing all day. Have a good one, and don't forget to take a moment to thank God for last week! ~ LJ
