Let's try this again.

I wrote for this blog the other day and when I hit "publish" there was an error and everything was lost. I was so frustrated that I shut down and went into the house. If you have a blog and write much, my advice is to hit "save" often.

I heard oil was over $5/barrel yesterday. I'm paying $3.09 now. Glad I don't live in CA where it's over $4 already. Working part time I won't be able to afford to work paying that much for gas. It's bad enough if you drive in for an 8 hour day, but when that time and pay is cut in half you end up driving the same distance with the same overhead for half the income. I'm still looking for a job that fits my needs so right now I'm saving a little by staying home a lot, but it does get boring. No thrift stores - even the grocery store would be a welcome change.

I called Social Security the other day and have an appointment on Tuesday at the local office. It seems I may be qualified now. That would be a dream come true. Say a prayer.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with Dr. Cohn. I want him to look at the xrays of my neck and see if anything can be done minimally invasive as per Dr. Barr's suggestion for my pinched nerve. That thing is so awful. Leaning over to pick up anything from the floor or to go into the kitchen cabinet means you better hurry and you better not miss grabbing the first time 'cause she's numbing up fast. I hate it. Sleeping is a bear.

I have over 30 pages in Dr. Barr's book now. I sent an email with questions to her this week; so far no answer. There are a lot of interesting Jewish recipes, and I have a lot of questions that even best cook Mom can't answer. I'm not sure what some of these foods are, never mind the ingredients. I've been looking online for clues.

Danny's at work today, third day this week. With spring opening up the lawn care season those lawn mowers and weedwackers are pouring in, just waiting to be worked on.

I've still been going over Betty Jane's to help her get organized. I don't know where she's going to put it all. I can sort and file but I can't build a room to put it all in. She has things she didn't remember buying! I took this photo a week or so into the project. We still had lots to do to get to the bottom of that bed. As I write that room has been regrouped and the bed turned around adding extra space that's more user friendly.

Last night Randy and I went over to the shop to help Daddy eat some fish roe. We're the only 3 that like it. I like it with ketchup. It was pretty good. Dad's been making nets. I want to go take a little video of instructions. Both of us kids remember doing nets when we were younger. I loved doing it, weaving on a large large scale. It's a dying art and it would be nice to preserve that knowlege.

Well, let's see if this will load or not. I've got calls to make. Have a great day!
