The trees are giving up

I love taking pictures of trees, but with all the rain we’ve had the trees are giving up. They are just keeling over where they stand, their roots rotted from moisture. It’s so sad.

These were taken near Fentress Airfield. We already knew that there’s been fuel dumping for years. The trees have never had a chance to be beautiful. Now even the stubby remains are going.
