The Last Few Days

For the last few days things seem to be moving very fast. Weeks slip by and its another weekend before you snap your eyes. Here’s a brief update on events:
  • Sunday – We didn’t get to church. I still have that crappy cough, especially if I talk much or breath wrong. We ate lunch at Frog Island. I think he just wanted to drive the new car. Nice trip.
  • Monday – Finally sold the new toaster I’d gotten from BettyJane. Sent it to NY. Got my opening bid on the church organ. At least the thing will be gone and we won’t have to pay someone to get it!!
  • Tuesday – Morning therapy, thrift store and lunch at the Diner in Woodtide Shopping Center. Had the open face turkey. Just ok. Celebrate bro’s birthday over Mom’s in the evening. We took our gifts and had pecan pie instead of cake.
  • Wednesday – Was a lovely nothing day. Hubster went to let Stan the Man listen to the new Mustang and give his seal of approval. Passed. All systems go! * Missy is in Richmond this evening; coming home in a couple of days.
  • Thursday – (Today) Therapy this morning; intense deep tissue massage. I’d expected the peaceful relaxing massage from the last two visits. Afterwards I went to the hair salon in the shopping center next door and told Mildred to cut all the dry stuff off, that I was sick of it; so I’m grayer now. Will have to get color when Hub’s isn’t waiting in the truck. * We stopped at Mansfield Farms and took a walk on their quiet road after eating at Finn McCools for the 1st time. * Got “additional info needed” pack from Social Security so more forms to fill out! Maybe it’s a good thing. The guy called the other day; wanted additional doctor info.
  • TOMORROW – The weather will be better, Missy will be here. Maybe we’ll see the other child soon too, who knows?! Happy Hour @ 6.
