My little afghan is now about 20 inches square so it’s in slow-mo. I work on it while waiting for Hubster when he’s in Home Depot or some other uninteresting place.
The light green knitted scarf recently suffered a set-back. I knew I had made a mistake right around the time I did it. Being new at this, I decided to plow on and see if it was impacting. It probably wasn’t, but in my mind it was. A long time ago I trained myself to bite the bullet and remove errors when found, no matter how far back in a piece they were. I guess that cheating aspect didn’t sit well.
I had split the yarn on one stitch. You know, when the hook just doesn’t quite get all of the plies. To me it was glaring. So I starting pulling out my stitches after carefully taking the whole piece off the needle. I just knew I was never going to get it back on again!
I thought it was just a row or two back. Guess I work faster than I thought because I ended up taking about about 8 rows before it was all over.
And I got it back on the needle. That is, after I put it on backwards. Duh, you want the lose end to the point.
We learn by doing, repeat after me, we learn by doing…! The saga continues.
