We had breakfast over at Panera’s again this morning; the men walked, and we drove over. We came home for a regrouping before making our way to the nature trail near the neighborhood. We sat on the one bench and watched the osprey nest with several little ones moving about the mother’s body, as the male osprey sat for the longest time in a high tree on the opposite bank. Pelicans, geese, ducks, Greeves, and even a lonely Cormorant preened on the little island in the middle of the little cut we sat by. (Dan’s photos are on the sidebar)
Back to the house for a fast pit stop, we headed over to Sam’s Club to see if we could find some products no longer carried at home. Luck was with us and Chef Dan is a happy guy, with his Tome’s Spices in tow. Then it was off to a place called Perkins, for a quiet lunch. Dan had something Mexican, I had half turkey sandwich with chicken noodle soup; Betty had the same Mexican wrap, and Claude made lunch out of pancakes.
We finalized plans for a trip into the mountains and a visit to the park near Estes Park tomorrow, hopefully to find some animals running wild. We decided on a picnic and then went to King Soopers, a local grocery store like Farm Fresh for supplies. What a name?!

Claude has a couple of meetings this afternoon and headed out after dropping us off with the groceries. Betty played solitaire on the computer and we headed to our room for an afternoon siesta. This greeted me when I awoke…Dan’s book had put him to sleep in the chair! Not sure if he’ll ever learn how that little GPS thing works. Books put him to sleep too quick!
Betty just came in to inquire of my tastes in Italian….looks like supper with pasta!
