What a surprise and a delight to know that one of my very own hand-crocheted toboggan hats is on its way to a lady in California. Does it get cold in California?! I’ve never been there; I’m here on the edge of the East Coast where it gets hot and muggy and your hair curls all summer long. Our winters are pretty mild compared to, say, the North where it snows feet instead of inches. Oh well, the hat is in the mail and should arrive by Saturday, just before the July 4th weekend. Go figure.
On my recent vacation to Colorado I took my little X-Factor bag with my one and only hand knit pale minty green scarf. I’m so close to finishing it now that it hurts to think about it. I have put so much effort into conquering this little beast; you have no idea. I’m sure it’s because I learned to crochet first. I also took the turquoise and black afghan I’m working on. It’s turning out better than I’d thought. I must say, I’m a lot quicker on crochet
