Significant Days

Our hearts break for my sister-in-law’s loss of her mother yesterday. This lovely lady was such a delight to chat with; I loved seeing her at Thanksgiving. Her soft southern drawl was so sweet when she’d say, “Now tell me, how are y’all doing now?” She will be missed by so many. My SIL was very close to her mom and they’d go shopping most Saturdays, just spending time together. This whole event happened suddenly and swiftly. I guess that’s good in a way, as there was little suffering except for those who are left behind. Our prayers continue to undergird them in the coming days.
Now for my schedule of events:
  • 9/9: Saw my new neurologist this morning – he says the headaches are not from the aneurysm and that the aneurysm is not big enough to worry about. To be sure he’s sending me to see an aneurysm specialist.
  • 9/20 – Eye exam
  • 9/24 – Follow-up with my new Primary doc
  • 9/29 – Aneurysm guy appointment
Good grief! Now they want blood to boot. So I have to go back sometime and get that for the neurologist. In the meantime he’s given me a high anti-inflammatory to take; you can’t be on it longer than 2 weeks. If it works at reducing the pains then he’ll find a regular one for me to do.
Some days you’re the bug, some days you’re the windshield.
