A nurse called me back with my test results on Friday. I have a “small focal aneurysm along the distal right internal carotid artery.” Lucky me. At least now I know what has caused all these incredibly bad head pains that I’ve had for so long. Believe me, they are so intense. some brought me almost to my knees.
I have been feverishly looking up stuff online, but still don’t really know much. Research suggests that this flaw in my artery has been there since birth.
I have been distraught and fearful. I try to stay calm. All I need now is for this thing to rupture and my chances would not be so good. We live too far from a hospital for it to be good. I have an appointment with a neurologist on Thursday morning. I guess I can add him to my ever growing list of medical friends.
