I thought I was going to teach him to use a computer program he’d purchased to work his website. I ended up spending 7 hours with them!
Now get this: they asked me if I wanted to ‘upgrade’ my own program…I guess they wanted to buy it for me ($20). I said no. So they asked if I wanted to have a separate plug in drive for backing up my files…they would buy me one. No, I just wanted them to pay me so I could buy what ever I wanted when I wanted it.
Do you know they never once asked me “what do I owe you?” I was stunned! It was “Well, thanks for all your help. We’ve been trying to get this fixed over a year now.” And off they went!
I was mad and I was sad. I cried. I was so mentally exhausted I went to bed at 6pm. Do I have a target on me somewhere?
So we got up early this morning. I had my 2nd appointment with the neurologist at 8:45. It had been scheduled as a follow-up for him to see how the meds were doing that he’d prescribed for me at my first appointment. I only took 3 before I quit taking them – they made me very sick.
I had called between that time and today to cancel the follow-up. It stood to reason that if the follow-up was on medications I was no longer taking, then I wouldn’t need to see him, right? But when I’d called his nurse said ‘hold on, let me go ask him what he wants you to do.’ So she went to check and came back saying ‘he wants you to try these new meds I’m going to call in for you, and to keep your appointment.’
I tried the new meds – they made me sick too. Luckily I only took 1 and it didn’t last too long.
So today here we go to the appointment. I take my new x-rays with me so he can look them over for me. I go to check in and the girl says ‘Your appointment was cancelled. It says it was cancelled by client (me).” I explain to her that I had called, but was told to keep the appointment; that they’d even called in new meds for me. I wasted my breath. They had filled my appointment time, I could wait around and see if he could work me in. I don’t think so…for a maybe?! I told them to shred my files from my only other visit, I wouldn’t be back.
I didn’t think I needed him anyway. I went there originally for the aneurysm, but he’d sent me to someone else. What did I need to see this guy again for? Well, he’s gone now!
Afterwards we took the cookbooks that had missing pages back to the printer for correction. We had a nice breakfast while we killed an hour. We picked up the books and headed out, stopping by a thrift store we don’t get to very often. Lo, and behold, they ahve a bunch of TV, one of them a JVC. Our JVC died not long ago after lasting since the girls were very little. Built to last and with a 7 day return policy we came home with a new used TV. And it works with our old remote, and plugs into our system. Finally something went right!
Oh, yeah – 2 more Hawaiian shirts too
