Loose Ends

I have been so busy with my blogs for my store that I have sadly neglected to post on MyCountryLane for a while. But I must say, in my own defense, that sales were very good during the month of October and I’m hoping for as good or better as Christmas gets closer.

My head pains have been getting a tad better, due I think, to my exercising my neck and doing stretches. I was told long ago that it didn’t seem possible the pains could be from my neck, but now that I know it’s not from my head it has to be from something! I am struggling to find an answer on my own since my last appointment with the neurologist was a huge bust. When I had called to cancel my follow-up appointment with him because I wasn’t taking the meds he’d given me (made me sick) I was given another prescription and told to keep the appointment. BUT unbeknownst to me, the nurse apparently cancelled it anyway. I will not ever go back to an incompetent office like that. So I’m on my own. And apparently my stretching is having a good effect. I more so think it’s a neck issue than before.

Today I drove Mom to the eye doctor to get her tear ducts cauterized shut. She has very dry eyes and nothing else has worked. Her eyes hurt a lot and are getting scratched. To save her vision she had to have it done, even though she didn’t want to. But we made a good day of it this morning…..she bought a new purse, picked up some ceramic pumpkins for her Prayer Calendar and we had a nice lunch out. We finished our ‘chores’ early and arrived at the doctor’s office an hour early. Luckily they took her in early and we left for home before her scheduled appointment time even got there!

Last Friday Danny and I went to Chippokes Plantation Christmas craft show, which was wonderful. You can see the photos I already uploaded on the Eccentric Thrifter Blog.

Deer hunting season is in full swing now. Everyone, even Danny has done well. It’s surprising because the weather has been so hot.

I am still losing weight, albeit ever so slowly. They say slow is good, so I must be doing great, but don’t expect to notice much when you see me.

The garage is full of yard sale stuff. Danny really thinks he wants to have one here. I will believe it when I see it, but I help him get things ready anyway. I’m thinking sacrificing a hunting Saturday really is too much to ask, but it’s his baby, so whatever. I just hope we don’t have to pull the car in anytime soon!
