Missy’s visit

We don’t have a picture of Grammy birthday, but suffice it to say Grammy was very surprised when we walked into Happy Hour, a little late, but with Missy in tow! Mom’s mouth hit the floor as it formed a perfect “O” as in “O, my goodness!” We’d managed to keep it all a surprise. And when we arrived Lindsey and Don were already there! I knew they were going to try to come out, but it was really nice to see they’d made it so I was surprised as well!

On Saturday Missy slept in after spending the evening with Aunt and Unk. Mom went to her hair appointment and later we met for lunch at Cracker Barrel. We followed up with a quick stroll through the Hickory High School Christmas Craft Show. Since I’d gone to the PO with it’s 30 minute delay earlier, I had to borrow a vendor’s cane to make my way around the booths, I was so tired. Melissa helped Grammy and they had a nice time checking stuff and buying an occasional gift to go under a Christmas tree.

Speaking of trees, Melissa had said she was going to help us get started on putting ours up since last year we had trouble because of bad backs around here. So when we got back from the craft show, energetic Melissa got busy, while I supervised. She did a great job of getting the lights on and started with the ornaments. Now I have a month to finish and get the other tree put up in the guest house. She and Rob will be spending Christmas here and not at home with their own tree. It might not be pretty, but at least we’ll get a tree up for them to see!

She had to be at the airport early on Sunday morning. After she left us we started back home, but I thot it would be nice to stop by the Norfolk Flea Market again. Yep, it was as bad as I remembered from the last time. But while we were there, I looked up and saw a plane leaving the airport. I noticed my watch: 10:20.

I'm pretty sure it was Melissa's airplane leaving!
