This used to be my Mom’s Christmas tree, that I got many years ago when she upgraded. It’s kind of rubber like and they don’t make them anymore. Mom never would let me work with the branches – I always wanted to tilt them down as if they had snow on them. The first time she saw it here she asked me where I got my beautiful tree. She couldn't believe it had been hers. Here are 3 wise men my mother-in-law made a few years ago. They’re about 1 foot high with bottle bases, plastic heads and jewelry for their gifts. (She is so crafty)!
Most years we add a faded yellow construction paper angel that my oldest made over 20 years ago. It’s just a stapled cone with a lot of glitter and a crooked smile. It has a tear in it, but we baby it and this angel always goes up. Your kids love it when you use their stuff! At 28 years old, mine still does,
I also have this terrific Christmas house that my mother-in-law made from milk cartons. She made houses for a church fund-raiser auction where they sold for about $250. I'm so lucky to have one!
My final choice is this cute pine-cone family my crafty mother-in-law made. They arrived here on a big Christmas wreath one year. The wreath is now ka-put, but the little guys are still holding strong, residing in a bed of potpourri.
