Duo Color Loom Scarf

This is my latest project, a scarf in a lovely shade of deep purple and a pale lavender. I decided to do it on the loom again. Even though it feels a tad stiff to my liking, it’s actually turning out very well. Of course, my yarns are from the thrift store. And how could I possibly resist one of my favorite colors (probably because it’s similar to my birth stone color).

I got a lot of work done on the scarf while Hubster was having an MRI done yesterday. It was his very first time.  Because of the remote possibility of having some leftover steel flakes from long-ago work projects, hiding in his eyes, we had to wait while they worked him in for a pre-MRI x-ray. (who knew MRI’s could possibly pull the metal from one’s eye??) So my wait was lengthy.
As usual, it wasn’t long before someone inquired as to what I was doing. Then one lady walking by towards the bathroom, said she’d had the long loom but didn’t know how to use it. I told her when she came back I’d show her.
I’m sure she went home, eager to try out her unused linear loom at the first possible moment.
While there, I finished the darker color, the skein being much smaller than the lavender; but as luck would have it, I’d bought 2 skeins of purple. So my task continues…maybe. The scarf is rather long now and I may just use the purple for the fringe and make a hat to go with it too. Who knows? I’ll let you know later.
