My computer is coming tomorrow afternoon according to the UPS tracker. Looking forward to it and dreading it. I am going to hate leaving XP.

Here’s Kitty, looking all Chinesey – he had just come in from the garage where it was dark. I think the light hurt his eyes, but the sun was warming his back. He’s either in pain or ecstasy.

Next is our pathetic garage. Dan still insists on having a yard sale. Will the weather ever clear enough for that to happen. In the meantime, stuff keeps getting added. No wonder Kitty wants to get out of the garage!

After our drive thru the woods to check things out, we came out behind Bro’s house. Lucy LOVES the golf cart. Bro says it’s because Mom took her for rides before. So we did the same thing…took her for a short turn around their house. In this photo she’s sitting in Dan’s lap, her expression is like, “ok, so let’s go already!”

Daddy is still getting through his pneumonia. This has been rough. The weather hasn’t helped any, except to keep them both inside, so I guess (knowing him) it’s been a good thing. If he feels better, maybe tomorrow he can make an excursion out for a quick haircut. I took Mom for a ride to the library today. I went in for her, but at least she got out of the house for a little while.

For the last 3 days we’ve been sleeping on one of the old firm mattresses from the building to see if it helps our backs. We’ve concluded that the damage that’s been happening over the years has been a slow process, like watching the hands of a clock move. We never put two and two together. I grew up on a very firm mattress. Then we got the waterbed for 20 years or so. Everyone was all about how bad they are, but if you think about it, you fill it up and it has baffles inside, so there is no movement much at all and is very firm with water, more so than the Dormia mattress (like Temperapedic) we’ve been on for the last few years. THAT has been the problem! The culprit if you please. I, for one, will be glad to see it go. We may or may not return to the waterbed. We may just get a firm mattress. But technology has improved even more in the waterbed dept. and I know my arthritis misses the heat! We'll do our homework before buying.

Speaking of backs, Dan goes back to Dr. Barr tomorrow afternoon with his MRI in tow. His back has been feeling better from the bed swap, but we’re still anxious to see if anything shows on the scans.

Missy started her new position at work today. She’s a rare cookie, getting a promotion within her first year there. Not everyone was happy, some were jealous. But we know God is handling her case the way He wants it…He always has.

Lindsey is still working part time in Roanoke, part time in Norfolk. She's one busy lady; we don't get to hear from her as much as we'd like.

And for all of us…to God be the Glory for all He does for us. We are so blessed with pretty good heath, loving homes, good neighbors and caring friends. What else could you ask for?!
