He brought some Wendy's home for lunch so we sat on the deck and ate. It was so nice out there. Once, we noticed how quiet it was; we stopped eating and just listened to the stillness, broken by the song of just one lonely bird.
Dan has been pressure washing this afternoon. I think he's getting carried away. He started at the front steps and every now and then I'd jump out of my skin as he went for something near the big front window, startled by the loud noise. I went out once and busted him for not having ear protection on. I went out again later and found him with the headphones around his neck. Great - "don't say 'huh?' to me, please!"
Next he went to the building off the deck. Yes, it looks nice, but you have to remember that he insisted on us buying the bricks that had the sand finish on them. Needless to say, there was sand all over the deck. I watched for a while, messerised by the spray coming off and misting towards the greenhouse. The bees were flying thru it, I suppose, enjoying the light shower.
Now that it's after 4pm he's finally working on the deck. That was suppose to be the reason he was pressure washing anything today... over the years the deck area in front of the building (in the shade) has become coated with a thin layer of moss and when it gets wet it's very slippery. At least it is in my mind; my metal hips do not want to take a chance on falling one day.
Moving on, Melissa left her spray of white tulips for me to enjoy when she left. She had carried them in the wedding. When they started getting all crazy I decided to take some pictures. I am using one on Facebook as my icon picture, but here's they are up close.
