We just got back from IHOP where we met Lindsey and Don. I needed to pick up a paper from her and she suggested breakfast out. Sounds good to us! Sundays is always jammin' at IHOP. I can't imagine what it would be like after church gets out. At 9:30am it was packed. We got a table in the thick of things and had a great time eating and catching up on her world.
She says she has gotten rid of the pool table and has moved her house back to how it used to be set up. Her dining room is back, including the cabinet with her Otagiri Victorian house collection. Her living room is back in the, well... living room. After moving things around she decided it was time and there was space available for some new furniture.
So off they went to one of Haynes' famous "last time ever of the millinium" sales that they have every week. It wasn't long before they took delivery of a new sofa, loveseat, recliner and bed. Next they decided the new stuff made the old tables and lamps look shabbier than normal, so they got new tables are are awaiting the lamps that were on back-order.
After growing up with the most disarrayed room in the house, it's kind of weird to think of Lindsey as a neat-freak. But that's how it is. I'm dying to see how everything looks, but she'll need more notice than a quick phone call to clean and get everything squared away before I can drop by. I'm hopeful it might be before Christmas. I look forward to seeing it all.
