Hunting Season is here! You know what that means...nice Saturdays without being interrupted, peace in the valley, shopping, eating what I want without thinking someone may be watching. (Just joking, I already do the last one any time, duh).
But hunting season is a time frame, a right of passage, a moment in time. Besides the guys getting all excited the way we wish they'd do for Christmas, I know that hot chocolate will soon be in style, and the leaves will start changing because it's time instead of because of the drought. I also know Christmas will soon be here because for years Mom and I did our Christmas shopping in October. Hunting is a seasonal thing for sure!
I love to sit on the deck and watch the leaves fall like crinkly snowflakes. More birds are migrating, the sun has moved across the sky and the temperature is already lower. Best of all (this year) the mosquitoes are dying in the colder temperatures. Things just feel good outside.
