Slow Lane

Right now things are going very slow as we're in the final stages of getting over the flu. I attended church last week (awesome) and yesterday we ventured out to Creeds Cafe for our first lunch since before Christmas (also awesome).

I've pretty much sunk into an 'old people' routine now. Being chilly outside limits my desire to start gardening or even walk around our soggy yard. So I get up, turn on the computer, have cereal, check email and Facebook and work on redoing my genealogy files using two computers. When I can't see straight anymore I shut everything down and go crochet in the living room.

Lunch is usually on trays in front of the TV when we catch up on how crappy the world is getting and how many cute dogs and kitties exist. I crochet until 3pm when the Bible reading comes on the radio. Then I crochet some more or if I have any reading to catch up on I'll do that, just for a break. (You can see my latest crochet projects here).

This morning was fairly nice outside so I crocheted on the deck while my dogs grazed the yard for drowning worms. I assume that's what they are munching on. Whatever it is makes them happy.

Even though life is a little boring for the rest of us lately, we're still pretty happy too. I'm looking forward when the day comes that these little fellows are back in bloom --
Bluebells

May they bless and brighten your winter day too!
