We're now in the baby hat mode. After a recent brain storm we decided to make hats for the Crisis Pregnancy Center and the Bridge Network's Baby Boutique. It's been interesting adapting our hats down to little ones after making large ones for so long. Using smaller needles and thread skews our former reference points somewhat.
I've been experimenting with a new-to-me Double Cross Stitch crossover stitch after watching a video several times. I thought the first stitch was always a butt-kicker so I simply changed it to a chain and a Double-Crochet. It worked just as well because no one will ever notice the difference when looking at the hats.
