Good Grief!

It's been a long time since I have pulled my back. Yet here I am, just days before Christmas, and have done that very thing. I knew instantly.

I was finishing up the gift wrapping yesterday morning and had saved some large ones for last. I even had Danny helping me out from across the other side of the kitchen table. I leaned over for a couple of minutes as I folded down pieces of paper trying to fit a weird shape. Then it happened.

I quickly straightened up after getting "THE DREADED TWINGE" but the deed was done. It hurt.
Oh crap! What a bummer.

I ended up with one of my canes in hand as I hobbled across the room. Eventually I went to lay down for several hours with a heating pad snugged to my afflicted site. Good grief! I have so much to do and here I am in bed.

This morning it's a little better (I keep telling myself). I'm really hoping it's just a muscle and not a dislocation in the vertebrae  I've had that happen before and the only solution in a case like that is a doctor visit. We all know it's a holiday now, so guess what? There won't be any doctor available for a while.

I'm left with heat, ice, ibuprofen, and a drinkypoo ... not necessarily in that order. Oh, and a lot of prayer. Let's hope the prayer will work...they usually do eventually.
