Pretty Good Days

The word this week is Good... Daddy's had a couple of pretty good days lately. He's been trying to get outside on the warm days. I know being cooped up indoors is something I've never known him to ever do. In the past he used to be trapping and going to the pond and all sorts of pioneer-style things through the winter days. He was always a pretty busy guy. It's got to be frustrating for him, so keep him in your prayers when the weather is crappy. And keep Mom in prayer too - it's not always easy being cooped up with someone who's cooped up, LoL!

I've been keeping busy working on church music. It's been a very long time since I've gone through all the file cabinets. There were so many folders with just one copy of sheet music in it. And there was a lot of very, very old music that no one would ever be able to play or use here again. Some copies were so faded that you could barely read it.

So I have sorted through everything, pulling what I think would be good to sell online for extra cash towards  new music that today's congregation might relate to better. So far I have 4 boxes of sheet music and 2 boxes of books. Most are single copies, but there are a few that have multiples. If anyone is interested in them let me know!

Other than that I've been working in my Eccentric Thrifter store, adding a few new items, updating prices for the new year, and of course packing and shipping the sold items (always a delight). I'm hoping to get a few more Hawaiian shirts photographed and added soon - can't sell 'em if they're not listed!

And with any new year there is the frenzied cleaning spirit that seems to take over the mind-set, so I've been going through the closets and tossing what I don't like/don't wear. You know the deal, I'm sure!

I think once I get the music out of my house I'll feel better, for sure. There's just something about having a fresh start and a cup of hot chocolate that can fix anything, don't you think?! So these are pretty good days, indeed.
