A Short Update

I took those cute little crochet baby hats to church yesterday to my local customer. She absolutely loved them! I was thrilled. She's giving them as gifts in the coming weeks. I hope they, in turn, are pleased with them too!

My blue afghan is coming along nicely. It didn't take any time at all for that next skein to be gone. Now I'm on the last skein, but it's one of those big old skeins that holds about twice as much as a normal-sized one.

I counted and found that there are 40 rows in my old "blankey." I think back then (in the 1970s) I was crocheting a bit looser in my inexperience. I'm not so sure that 40 rows in my new afghan will equate to the same size.

But fooey on that - I'm trying to make this one even bigger... remember, I'm working with a California king size bed these days! It's big enough already that it's starting to be way more than a lap-full to work on without dragging the floor too much. But I must say, it's nice and cozy to work under!
