New Hats For Winter

I love to crochet in the Fall. Seeing the kaleidoscope of colors in the trees as the leaves change  just kind of puts me in the mood to put on the pjs, heat up some hot chocolate and cozy up under a yarn project.

Here's my two latest creations. I had fun making these two adult-sized hats. They could just as easily be called beanies because they fit well right at the point with a brim turned up or not. There's room to turn up a short one if desired and that can change the whole look of the hat, as shown below.

With the yellow and green hat I experimented with using longer chains, creating a stand-out design over the top green band that looks much better in person that it does in the photo. I like the effect and look forward to playing around with it some more on a future project.

The green hat with pink trim is not the normal color combo you might find. I was inspired to try it because I once had a favorite shirt in these colors. I also think of pink roses nestled among green leaves. So what's not to love?
