Snow Week

So this is the week of seemingly obligatory snow pictures. A quick look on Facebook shows everyone has at least one to share. I didn't take too many this go-round; I think it's early for snow yet and more will be coming, along with more opportunities.

This photo kind of sums it up... You can see how much snow we got by looking at the pile on the table. The curtains are tied back and I'm nice and warm indoors while Danny is outside adding seed to the bird-feeding station we received as a Christmas gift. It certainly didn't take long for the birds to find it! And it didn't take long for Danny to get back inside to the warmth either!

For Melissa, who is missing all the snow, we peeled the door back to show how much it had drifted up. Not a whole lot but enough to say we  got some.

And this was our very tall Nandina bush, now squashed under a layer of snow. I love how the snow mounded on the solar lights and little stone pagoda thing to look like mushrooms. Dang! Is that a face like a gray pumpkin on top of the bush?! I swear we didn't do that! A freak of nature!
