Snow Balls

Really? Snow again maybe, they say. Usually our snow season doesn't start until later. Notoriously it used to coincide with the circus coming to town. And, no, I wasn't the only one to know this. It was like a joke to the locals. But then the circus wised up and moved their itinerary around so they'd show up in the Spring.

We've had a couple of great snows this year. I'm starting to think it's been more than I've ever seen in my life in one year. Usually a good snow would be a couple of inches. The last two times was anywhere from 5-9 inches, depending on where you were standing!

This is what it looks like now. Surrounded by blue. That's usually how our weather maps go... we always seem to be inside of a big hole. I attribute this to Edgar Casey who always said that this area is one of the safest on earth. So often it goes around us, coming down from the north and up from the south. I guess Global Warming is causing some of it to collide right over top of us and now we're getting more impacts.

Abby likes the snow, a surprise, for she hardly ever really wants to go outside. I guess Snow is her thing. So funny watching her traverse the deep snow last time. Good thing I made some sweaters for her! Here, Bro gives her a chuck under the chin while she's on the deck.

She looks like she's almost under the snow as she makes her way around the yard.

Whether it snows or flurries again today is really not too important. It's still mighty cold out there. God makes all days in various makes and models. As Jimi Hendrix used to sing, "just let the sun take a holiday." So get the soup pot out and maybe some hot chocolate too. We might get snow!
