During the last Crochet Club meeting members pondered if we were wasting time making the plastic mats. I even redid most of mine, trying to fix it, and it looked only slightly less ridiculous than before, despite my best efforts. The group is down to just three mats, two not counting my disaster. But we do have one worthy to be a wall hanging keepsake to show how much effort we put forth. Conclusions were that we'd be better off attempting less demanding plastic projects like much smaller tote bags. Hmm.... maybe later.
Although I hate the thought of not finishing a project, my heart is telling me I'm wasting time trying. Crochet Club members recently found out about several people they know now facing cancer. So our group wants to get back to its original purpose of making cancer patient hats for them specifically. In this I know I can get much better results, using both time and effort towards making a hat that can make a difference to someone!
