Well, little Kitty is enjoying being a house cat now. He’s very pampered and quite getting spoiled.
The old Ford Explorer is history, leaving yesterday to enjoy life with a Navy family. The new Escape is a total joy.
After tons of searching we finally found bedroom curtain rods. (what a chore trying to get two people on the same page)! Now the hard part of actually finding perfect curtains.
Today, Hubster helped me trim the Knockout Roses. (also what a chore). I know folks think they are no maintenance plants, but they should be thinking Low maintenance since they still need some care or they look like hell. But mine are done now and all I have to do is wait for the beauty to appear later in the season.
I’m thanking God today for His traveling mercies. Yesterday my youngest experienced a blown tire while in heavy high speed (going home after work) traffic in the worse place possible on I-264. Thank you, Lord, she didn’t lose control in her left lane position and was able to pull off safely into the median. A state trooper helped her limp across lanes to the right side so the Help Guy could put the spare on without getting killed by the 70 mile-an-hour traffic flying by!
Seems like late January - early February is a lull before the storm time. Our heaviest winter weather usually shows up later and right now it is fairly nice outside. It seems like everything is kind of calm. Doctor appointments are minimal now (yeah). Bible study is going good. Hubster is doing the ‘homework’ with me leading to some great discussions. I’ve had time to read a book or two, play with the dogs, groom the cat, sit in the sunshine, watch the birds outside, play a computer game or two inside, pray, think, and just do nothing if I want to. Life is pretty good right now.
