Good morning! It would be better if it felt like yesterday, all warm and summery. But no, today is 20°s cooler and misty and rainy. Needless to say, my hair is even more curly. I put on my red cordoroy pants to cheer me up.
And it's taken an hour or so to get online. I don't know why, but for some reason the weather affects our internet connection. At times it seems slower than dial-up; but then the sun comes out and it's all good. Luckily it's only for a short while on some mornings. Unluckily, I do my best typing in the morning...afternoons finds me all thumbs.
Today is also Randy's birthday! He's been a pain half the time, but I really couldn't imagine anyone else as my brother. Tonight we'll celebrate by having Happy Hour at the Dozier's home. Melissa is coming in and Lindsey will forego her usual billiards night in honor of the special occassion.
We've gotten a lot of stuff around the house done. Dan's a ball of fire these days, knocking stuff off that perpetual "to-do" list. Painting, pushing, pulling, picking up, plastering, poking, and of course planting. And don't forget dragging, hauling, sanding, grinding and using plenty of tools.
This afternoon I'm going to Arlene's to take pictures of consignment items to list on eBay. That ought to be fun. I always have a good time with Arlene. We have a lot in common, especially when it comes to music and church. I'll take my digital and my black backdrop and my weight scale and see how it goes. I've had several consignment customers now. I learn something new each time and each time it just gets better!
Melissa is suppose to bring me some information on her upcoming May trip to Kenya. I will be posting it on my website and putting it in the church newsletter. Maybe some financial support will come out of it. But mostly I just want people to know she's going and to pray for a safe journey.
Tomorrow is Ruritan BBQ day so we'll be chowing down on some good BBQ for lunch. Then for supper Danny's taken out some steaks for firing on the grill. Guess I'll be 10 pounds heavier by Sunday. Nah, I'll take a few strolls around the woods path, see if any deer are lurking about like they have the last 2 times. No problem!
Well, it's on to the weekend. With Danny home it starts from the moment we wake up! Hope you have a great one wherever you are!
