Terrific weekend. My complete family here. A little cool outside but warm and cosy inside.

To cap off the weekend we got a phone call after church from a Hampton man inquiring about Melissa's old Firebird. About an hour later he showed up with his son driving a truck pulling a dolley. Next thing we knew the car was being loaded onto the dolley and going down the driveway! I love it when a plan comes together! Quick. easy, painless!

This morning Danny has a ton of errands to run and as the ever faithful co-pilot I'll be going with him. He's tying up loose ends left and right. Just a little miracle man in the making! We'll be hitting up Lowe's, West Marine, Norfolk Burlap, Walmart, the post office, and of course the grocery store. Gonna be busy, busy, busy! I'm hoping we can get the rocks soon for the flower bed beneath the dining room. Since I have a hard time doing any gardening now, bending and pulling being a bad thing, I decided to remove all but a couple of flowers and put rocks in. Then anything that shows it's little head will be sprayed sufficiently to make it "Go Away!" See, low maintenance!

In church yesterday Greg presented me before the church so they could vote me back in as a member. He introduced me as his "sister." I assume a sister in Christ; I was getting nervous and started losing my hearing! After everyone voted he leaned over and whispered to ask if I would be willing to close the service in prayer. Oh, my Gosh! I said ok, depending on God to take me through it. I've prayed in public before, but usually in small groups...never before while standing in front of the entire congregation like a preacher! Family feedback said I did ok, so I guess at least I didn't embarrass anyone and I'm sure God was smiling like Mona Lisa at me the whole time. I would imagine He gets a chuckle at folks who get all uptight over a little thing like praying, especially when there are so many more important things to be worried about...like little children who are starving, or old people who are cold, or mothers who are beaten by unloving husbands in front of their children. No, I would think He would think praying is the least of our worries and should be our first line of communication with the One who can make all things right.

Don't forget to pray for someone today.
