Been an interesting couple of days. Danny pulled his back on Saturday so he's been trying to be satisfied with doing very little. It's not been an easy task. I told him that he was getting a little taste of the frustration I face every day. There's a ton of things I'd like to be doing, especially now when I should be getting my garden and flower beds ready. But poor Danny has waited for years to be retired so he could do his million things, and now to be sidelined.

Making matters worse is that the SUV is scheduled to be worked on this coming weekend so Danny is trying to be "good" and not move wrong so he'll be ready and able to help work on the truck. In the meantime getting in and out of the Miata hasn't been the easiest thing to do.

I have been called for possible jury duty this month. If I'm on the list, then I guess I'll be heading out to the Courthouse area early tomorrow.

What's that I hear? A lawnmower? As I live and breath, he's on the lawnmower!!! I do remember him saying that out of 3 mowers we were going to have one to work with for a while. Maybe I should save up my ebay money and buy some goats to eat the grass!

I've been busy experimenting with setting up a blog right on the Country Lane website. Since I'm writing on this one you can tell it's a bit frustrating to figure out. A lot more elaborate than this one. We'll see how it goes. If I get the other one running you'll be the first to know.

This morning we headed out briefly. I wanted to be sure I knew where to go tomorrow morning and not get lost in the congested traffic confusion surrounding our city government complex. And Danny wanted to stop by the sailboat and pay the slip fees. We ended at Harris Teeter where we pretty much bought a small picnic.

We came home and had a roasted chicken quarter each, split two small containers of macaroni salad and potato salad, and topped it off with cheese bread sticks and seedless white grapes. We ate on the back deck and it was so nice out there. I love eating on the deck. Everyone is just more relaxed. We had a mockingbird serenading us with his "I'm pretty" and "Sweetie" songs as well as many others. I think there is a nest in the holly bush at the end of the deck. He's been eating some of the old fruit I put out on a board laid across a corner of the deck. Yeah, I know he runs off other birds at the feeder sometimes, but I haven't seen any skinny birds out there so I know they're all feeding at some time or another.

Welp, better go see what Dan the man is up to. He forgets his back is in a damage state right now. My job is to remind him; sorta a payback for all the times he's told me not to do stuff that made it worse on him taking care of me.

It's all good!
