Today was beautiful outside to look at, but it was on the chilly side and getting chillier all the while. We are suppose to get 1-2" of snow! In April! Maybe even for Easter! Every little plant that is sticking his head out of the ground is going to get nipped tomorrow. The tree buds, all of it. What a bummer.
I'm still fighting my cold or rather, allergy. After looking at my health records I noted that I had indeed gotten an extended cold in March and April for the past 2 years. So this year I decided not to wait 2 months and went to see my doc yesterday. He's armed me with an inhaler, antibiotics and Clarinex. We'll see how well it all does. At least the fever is down.
Dr. Barr's office confirmed that I have a pinched nerve in my neck. I'll be getting an epidural on May 7. This tingly arm is for the birds!
I don't even know what day it is. Lindsey had off today and with Danny off all the time it's hard to know. Lindsey said something about she's had a good weekend; she visited overnight with her friends and came in this afternoon. I had to remind her that the weekend hadn't even started yet!
Dan's almost ready to get some furniture and "stuff" moved upstairs. Today he was staining some trim molding to go around the mini doorways leading to the storage unit in the kneehole area. I'll believe it when I see it.
Melissa won't be home for Easter this year, but she will be here next weekend. I hope she brings her friend for us to meet. She often goes camping and hiking with him and seems like a good match.
I've spent 2 days getting 2 of my websites fixed. I fiddled with something and it didn't work so I took it back off, but messed up something in the process and had to get my server to fix it. So far so good. But I didn't mention the genealogy pages because I didn't know. I'm going to see if I can fix them myself before calling this time.
We've been watching some of those wonderful Christian movies that now come on tv. They were doing a series and going along with the timeline of the Bible, following the different stories like Jericho and Babel and Lot's wife. This week it's like there's a marathon of Easter stories. Last night's was showing a more political viewpoint based on Judas' thoughts. I hadn't really thought about it before, but I think he may have thought he was helping by setting Jesus up. The idea presented was that it would force Jesus to "make his move" and become a victorious king in the land, beating down the romans and all. Judas didn't know what the real plan was all about and was devestated when Jesus died and didn't do anything at all about becoming a worldly mighty king. It makes sense to me. If Judas didn't regret his actions and had been full of animosity then he wouldn't have killed himself. He'd have been pleased.
Go to church Sunday and really listen. Have a Happy Easter!
