Lindsey and I headed out to catch a few yard sales before it rained today. We should have stayed home. We went to a church sponsored sale expecting lots to choose from, but were disappointed. I think we have more junk in our garage than that whole church came up with. Lindsey got a small 2 drawer file cabinet for $3.

Next we went to a sale we thought was a neighborhood sale, thinking we'll find lots of homes in a small area. No, I guess the lady who wrote the ad just wanted to let us know she lived in a neighborhood. Thanks! We got 12 Winnie the Pooh books to go with the one I already had. They will all go on eBay soon.

Our last yard sale before the rain got Lindsey a metal shoe rack. She says she has the shoes and no place for the rack. I say she needs to do some serious organizing.

We hit two more places while the people were packing up. It was raining by then and we didn't even bother to get out of the car. We got back home by 10:30 - we left at 9:00.

So I'm doing eBay and Lindsey's doing her taxes online. Danny is over at Stanley's putting the transmission back into the SUV. He and I got a late call yesterday that it was ready so we ran to pick it up just ahead of the Friday afternoon traffic. But not before we got caught in heavy standing still traffic resulting from an intersection accident. What a mess! We dodged some of it by going back through a neighborhood, but for a while it seemed like the more we hurried to get to the transmission place before it closed the longer it took. Finally we said forget it, took our time and were there in no time.

It's all a perspective thing!
Enjoy the weekend
