This morning we saw a Rufus-sided Towee! This bird is suppose to frequent this area a lot, but this is the first one I've ever had at my feeders! It was just too cool. He was very fast moving and it was hard to keep the binoculars on him. We'll keep a watch out for more sightings.

We also have a few visits from the lovely American Goldfinch. These bright spots are easy to find. Get out the nyger seed quick if you see them coming. They love it!

Melissa leaves Monday for Africa. I know she's going to have the experience of a lifetime! Of course we'll have photos to share when she gets back. Be on the lookout. I excited for her as well as scared. But I know the good Lord is taking care of her and that I have nothing to fear. Just to be on the safe side, say a lot of prayers. She gets back May 23.

It rained the last day or so and now everything is growing. You can almost hear the earth move as seeds push their way up through the soil. We finally planted our little tomatoes just ahead of the rain, thinking to save ourselves from dragging the hose around. They are kicking in delight at being out of those little pots and having all this new room to expand their roots.

Yesterday Danny and I finally had a chance to stop by that new antique/flea market house in Pungo. I must say we weren't too impressed and doubt that the operation will be in business too long. We were told she sells on eBay and will take consignments. Like, I do that already from home. The prices were pretty high on most stuff. I saw applique pillows about 10" x 12" for $25. NO THANK YOU. But I did happen to find a jewel among the thorns. I found a vintage 1950s Panther TV Lamp. It was yellow and had been painted over with red, which was flaking off and scratched. It really looked rough. We had the girl plug it in and it even worked! We paid our $2.99 and headed out, knowing that after a good cleaning we could be selling for at least $30. (And this girl thinks she has an eye for stuff)! It reminded me of the rooster clock I sold last year. We paid $8 and sold it for almost $40! People love this stuff!

Let me know when you clean your closets!
