I don't know why anyone would like hot weather. I think Danny does. I know he can think of no reason not to go to the Bahamas. I can. It's HOT!
I don't like hot. Maybe it's because I'm middle age now. I get hot enough even when it's cool. I don't like the steering wheel too hot to touch. I don't like sweating when I sit too long and then wonder if there is a sweat ring around my butt. Do you? I don't like sticky. Your hands get all sticky whenever they touch anything at all when it's hot. Your neck gets hot. Clothes stick. You have to stay inside if you want to stay cool. You miss so much inside with the windows up.
I don't think I ever remember a hotter time than right after Melissa was born. We were in the trailer, a hot tin can. It was early June and just starting to get hot. Ever try to hold a teeny-tiny newborn without getting close? Can't be done. Those few weeks before we got an air conditioner were miserable. I'm not sure who was faring worse, me or Melissa. But we stuck to each other. I know I bonded with that child in those early days. We almost bonded into one! You would almost have to peel us apart.
No, I don't like hot.
I like nice cool FALL. Autumn to be PC correct. I like those crisp days with the big white puffy clouds sailing across the sky on those lovely heavenly winds. Down here below, the wind blows just right with its cooling breeze. The trees crackle with their turning into brown leaves. Later the leaves begin snowing down to the ground. Those Fall winds are blowing away all that old hot, sticky leftover air and cooling everything down in perfect harmony. You can roll the windows down in the car and put them up in the house to catch that fresh feeling.
What's not to love about Fall? If you don't go to the beach than what's so great about summer?
