My Goodness!

Today is only Tuesday and all ready the week is jamming! Yesterday started out well enough. I got up early and went to the office for some quiet time while Danny got ready to go to work. He brought me some hot chocolate and we watched a cool power point photo show before he left. I continued working after he left until I had about 30 minutes before I needed to leave for work. Everything was going so good until it came time to go to the truck. Where are my keys?

I looked everywhere and even tried to call Dan at work. The number in the rolodex was wrong! Darn! So I have to go back out to the computer, google his work and get the number. I called him because on Sundays he drives us to church using his keys. I had every reason to believe that I could have left my keys at the office, not needing them to drive home afterwards. And of course, Dan can't possibly bring himself to keep keys on the key holder board we have in the hall. I had already looked in his desk for the spare, which wasn't there. That's why I called - to get a spare. OF course! Why didn't I think to look in his DRESSER!? Duh! Don't most people keep keys in the dresser??

Anyway, I got to work a few minutes late and then found MY keys in the first place I'd looked at home - in my bag, hidden under some papers so they didn't even rattle!

About 20 minutes after getting settled from my rush Lindsey calls from her work. Mom had called her since she didn't have my new cell or work number. Someone had run a red light and plowed into the driver side of the truck! I called them on her cell; she and Dad were shook up, but ok. Bro was there and bringing them home from Portsmouth of all places to be!

That was so scary, my adrenalin fell out of my body and I cried, thinking of what could have happened and tried to calm myself. A short while later I thought to call Melissa in Richmond. She pretty much went through the same thing I did. Later Lindsey said she'd had the same experience when she'd been called.

We all stopped by their house as we came in from work, just to make sure. Even Lindsey drove in from work before going to her new home.

Lindsey's birthday is Monday so I guess we'll get together and do the birthday thing Sunday afternoon after church. That'll be good to put this stress mess behind.

I've been trying to get my ebay stuff going again. I've reopened the store on there again to see if it makes a difference. Last year it didn't seem to work good for me. I'll give it a month.

In the meantime I've also opened my online Ecrater store. I love looking through the handbag selections when we go thrift store shopping and usually find some pretty good stuff. I have too many at home now and just found another super tote bag so I thought "why not?" I'm now listing them online. So far so good.

Work is going good. I want him to let me do a newsletter and spoke to him about it again yesterday. We'd had a good turnout on Sunday for the new year and I don't want to pass this opportunity. I think he's thinking about it.

I was talking with the youth pastor and one thing led to another and I mentioned genealogy. I told her most times I could find someone online in about 5 minutes. She reeled off a name and in under 30 seconds she was looking at her grandfather's family and couldn't believe her eyes. I think she will hire me to do a book for her.

Betty Jane is coming by in a couple of weeks and we're going to finalize her books. She has a lot of photos. I told her I had found the perfect way to publish and will do them the way I did Mom's cookbook. You learn something new everyday!

Well, back to learning today's lesson.
