Yesterday my monitor finally quit. I guess I used it too much. This morning we went to BestBuy to get another one. They were having a sale on LG's so I ended up bringing home an LG W1952TQ widescreen monitor. I actually got a better deal than I would have with my original Dell target purchase. And I had a gift card to apply.
It's not too bad, but I'll have to get used to the wideness of it. It has a lot of automatic features so you don't have to sit there and adjust things like brightness by clicking twenty million times - just use a slider. That's cool.
Anyway it was a bummer yesterday afternoon...I could hear the computer doing it's thing, I was in the middle of uploading some files to my online storage, I just couldn't see it. I left it running until 8pm and then hit the computer power button to shut everything down. Couldn't see START on the monitor to shut off or anything.
