This is the longest day. I'm at work alone today. I got in a little after 8:30 and got here just ahead of the big storm as it went through the area. Before leaving home I moved some plants around so they wouldn't get "bush whacked" by the wind. I've had the TV on this morning and it looks like there are still a lot of big storms and tornado warnings out, just not here now.
So far I've answered the telephone 4 times; 2 were my boss giving me info. I've used the fax machine twice. It's almost 12:30 and I'm getting ready to eat my little turkey sandwich and drink some of my Fuze drink. I like Fuze, we get them from Sam's Club. I noticed they are at some of the new Bloom stores now. Fuze is sort of like a watery koolaid drink. Suppose to be energizing. Not sure about that, but when you want something a little more than water and not as much as iced tea then it fits the bill.
I have been doing some program updates on their computer since it's so quiet here. The lady who runs this place doesn't do much at all with computers. She just wants the necessary icons on the desktop so she can get to whatever document or data sheet she's looking for. The computer is running dial-up so everything is slow going. Even so, I think it's important to get your security updated even if nothing else is.
Maggie, my boss, had told me that it was hardly ever busy here. Boy, was she right! Since this is shipping business related I assume it all revolves around when a truck or ship gets where its supposed to and gets unloaded. I just wait.
And they said I couldn't get a job that pays you to do nothing! Ha!
