Stormy

It's quarter to 7 and there have been storms all around this afternoon. So far, none have really come by us. The weather radar shows us that Edgar Casey and his "safest place on earth" theory is at work. But I'm noticing that the sky is getting a weird glow to it. I'm going back in the house as soon as my Regcure finishes scanning.

I've added and deleted a few programs. I use Avant for my browser, have for years. Way before Internet Explorer came out with their "tabs" and blockers I had those perks in the Avant. They just came out with another browser called Orca, it's supposed to be based on Firefox instead of IE. I tried it; it's fast but I went back to my Avant.

So I deleted it and since I hadn't done so for a while I am running Regcure. It's one of the few things I pay for. I used it a few years ago and recently got it again. It does a nice job of cleaning out all the leftovers. Yes, I've tried some of the highly recommended free ones, but I found that I'd end up with problems afterwards, probably because I'm not a techie. Regcure does the thinking for me.

I finished getting all my purses and handbags and totes on my eCrater store/ That's the way I'd originally planned it, but then I'd switched things around before I ended up with my EBay store. So I'm thinning things out. That eBay store probably won't be there much longer. I think this is the month they start telling you how much you can place for shipping on smaller items. I don't gouge, but I usually put $4 instead of $3 for media. They are going to limit it. Thanks but no thanks, I can think for myself. I figure no one twists anyone's arm to buy stuff and there are no hidden costs. If they chose to pay $4 what's it hurting? We're all happy.

Mom and I are going off tomorrow. I have a follow-up doc appt at 9:30 which shouldn't take long, then it's off to Norfolk for her first doc appt. Afterwards, we're going to hook up with Lindsey girl for some lunch at the Abbey in Norfolk. After that we're off to Kempsville for Mom's 2nd doc appt. Whew! We'll be done for by the time we get home, but it's going to be good. We haven't gone out for a while. And lunch will be a bonus.

Today was the start of hunting season 2008. So all the guys were up bright and early, getting all their boots in order, their camo on, their snacky-poos in their little boxes (in case they starve or get bored). It was kinda hot today; the deer don't run good until it gets cooler. But Daddy got his "first day" kill today, so he's a very happy camper! No I don't have any pictures. Girls aren't allowed.

Saturday is Mom and Dad's 61st anniversary. We should all be so lucky. It ain't cuz we're not trying!!!
Danny is turning 61 on next Wednesday. I guess he'll be hunting for his BD. It's also our anniversary. Can you believe it's 17 years already. Where does the time go?! I won't hold him to a fancy dinner out, since it IS hunting day; maybe a rain check for the weekend.

And Missy will be home next weekend to celebrate all these happy events. So it ought to be a good weekend; I'm sure Lindsey will appear too somewhere along the way. It's all good!
