She Likes It, I Like Them

The last time we went to the thrift store we found this cute little new Martha Stewart doggie sweater. Now I never, in a million years, thought I would ever be buying any clothes of any kind for a critter. And here I am, here we both areenamored enough to do such a thing as this:

I think she is smiling, don't you?
I keep trying to get a picture of the deer babies. Quite often the doe brings her twin fawns out to eat the soybeans. This was my latest attempt at a small object a long distance away with a little digital camera. I didn't realize I had gotten both of them until I enlarged the picture. Mama has already gone back in the woods.

One of my favorite people in the world passed away this week. My cousin Frances Frost Redford finally left this world at age 77 to join her loved ones in Heaven. I will miss her, even though I didn't see her nearly as much as I wanted to over the years.

She was always upbeat and would do anything for anybody. I always knew we'd be laughing whenever I saw her. Yep, I'll miss knowing she's around. She was a terrific photographer and loved to paint too.

Here is a painting she did in 1984 that I have always cherished. I'd had it by the front door but still forgot to take it to her when we visited her 4 days before she left us.

We should cherish people while they are here, not wait to cherish their memory after they are gone.
