Last week I saw my pain management doc about my knee. After a quick sonogram they shoved a long needle in several times for a Lidocaine injection. I’m still icing it, heating it, propping it, and hobbling on it. I even used the TENS unit on it. I don’t think anything helps much. I’m so tired of hurting.
(I’m also tired of commentary by people who think they know more than anyone else just because they worked in a chiropractor office; these people have no idea of what I inherited genetically and or what others in my extended family live with. One of my doctors said I’m one of the few whose body doesn’t respond normally and what works for most doesn’t touch my problems. If you’re not walking in my shoes give the blatant “I know it all” a rest)!
I gave blood the other day after they gave me time to bring my white-coat syndrome blood pressure down to a high normal. Everything was perfectly normal again once I got home. Poor Danny was not so lucky. The technician who ‘started’ working on him was quickly removed from needles after she hit a nerve in his arm. Who does that?? He’s very upset about it and it’s still firing off when he uses his arm.
Church was pretty awesome Sunday. We had a good crowd and some lively praise songs to start our day. The sermon was great and there was a short special business meeting afterwards to vote on something that had come up. After service we headed to Cracker Barrel, but apparently everyone else in the area had the same idea and the parking lot was packed. We went next door to Arby’s. We don’t do them as much as we should. Their roast beef sandwich is pretty good.
The weather has been uplifting. The daffodils are in bloom again and I see the hyacinths won’t be far behind. It’s been beautiful outside with the crisp breezes and the birds twittering all over the place. I love to pray out on my deck.
