What A Week

Dealing with a bad knee for a month has been the pits. Not knowing if it was tied to my bad back or bad hip keeps you in limbo. You just don’t know what to work on first! Monday I saw my chiropractor who basically tried to loosen the tight ligaments and whatever else is around the area. Tuesday I saw my pain management doc I have used for 20 years. As soon as she walked into the room she could see the swelling whereas, before this, no one else had. Me, I just saw knobby knees LoL. It wasn’t long before the PA and shadow PA-in-training had a long needle and I felt like a target. Doc then did her thing while I tried to remember to breath (heck yeah, it hurt) and watch the monitor at the same time. I’m hopeful this is now the beginning of the end.

Soon I will go to the church Blood Drive and if I can get past the preliminary I can donate. I couldn’t the last couple of times. I have White Coat Syndrome which makes my blood pressure go up (yesterday at the doc office it went up to 152/98. Last night it was back to 112/62. Go figure).

While I’ve been more immobile I’ve kept busy crocheting and looming baby hats for the current Crochet Club project. I’ve made 17 so far. They are so small they whip up in no time. Last night at our regular meeting a lady came by with a bunch of knitted hats to donate. Wow! they were awesome! So cute, it made me wonder if I could ever dare to try knitting again. My one and only scarf project was such an ordeal that I swore ‘never again!’ Mmmmm…. what I am I thinking!?

On the way back from my appointment Danny had to run in the grocery store. What a surprise when a dozen roses were thrust in my hands! I’d forgotten it was Valentine’s Day! He’s so good to me!
